At Crouch End School of Dance, we offer exceptional ballet training in a supportive environment where students are encouraged to reach their full potential. With foundations in the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus, our teaching focuses on developing strong technique, confidence, and a lifelong enjoyment of dance.

Classes are available for all ages and levels, from Pre-School and beginners to advanced students and adults.

Every class is delivered with expert tuition, individual attention, and live piano accompaniment, creating a positive and inspiring space for students to build skills, express creativity, and grow both as dancers and as individuals.

Faculty

Emma Thompson (RAD, RTS) is a highly experienced dance teacher and choreographer with over 30 years in the industry. She trained at The Hammond School and The Laban Centre, and holds teaching qualifications from the Royal Academy of Dance and ISTD in Ballet, Tap and Modern. Emma is also a certified Progressive Dance Technique teacher and a mentor for RAD student teachers. Her students have gone on to vocational schools, associate programmes, and professional careers in dance. An RAD examiner since 2012 and CPD tutor for graded and vocational levels, Emma also teaches and examines internationally.

Krystyna Budzynska (GRSM, LRAM, FRAM) is an accomplished pianist, teacher and composer with a lifelong passion for nurturing young musicians. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, she has held senior roles at Junior Academy and co-founded The Advance Network to promote equality in music education. Her work has been recognised with a Lifetime Achievement Award from Classical Music Teacher Magazine.
